KAMIKŌMO’s Daylight Companion is a slim, hand-bound A5 notebook designed for uninterrupted writing, thinking and everyday notes.
Its hand-marbled Jute paper cover, paired with handmade Korean Hanji, gives each notebook a distinct tactile yet unobtrusive character. Inside, smooth 52gsm Tomoe River cream paper provides a lightweight writing surface that handles ink beautifully, with minimal bleed-through and feathering.
The pages are blank; no distractions and no system to follow. Write, sketch, make notes or simply give an idea somewhere to be.
At just 5mm thick with 60 pages, this KAMIKŌMO Companion takes up little space while remaining substantial enough to stay with you wherever your thoughts take you.
Each notebook is individually handmade, so slight variations in size, texture and pattern are part of its character

Who We Are
Like many people, I wasn't looking for another productivity tool. I was simply looking for a quiet moment in the middle of all the noise.
I'm Maggie, and for years I found myself pulled in every direction, only to stop and wonder, How did I end up here again? I realised that we're rarely given the space to pause and process.
Drawing on my background in storytelling and a deep curiosity about how we think and live, I created Kamikomo as a space for intentional living. With our very first tool being one of the oldest we have: the handmade notebook.
A notebook is tangible and it is yours. It doesn't compete for your attention, it doesn't interrupt, ask for updates, or expect anything from you. It simply waits.
My hope is that it becomes a personal companion; a quiet place to slow down, process your thoughts, and move forward with intention, so we can minimise the amount of times we ask ourselves: How did I end up here again?
